Training In the Jungles (OUTBOUND PROGRAMME)

In the last one year I have taken MBA graduates to the wilderness for outbound training programme.This comprises of an early morning trekking into the jungles of Bannergetta (Bangalore)and visual treat of the wild herbivorous animals .The carnivorous are kept enclosed.


The fear of unknown and the thought of being on their own in small teams really bring forth the leadership qualities and enhance their team ability.

Taking them away from their glamorous environment into the basic survival environment breaks all barriers of hierarchy and conceptions of age.

The physical endurance is also put to test as they have to forget the easy luxuries of office comforts and go through a vigorous workout .This gives them a well earned good sleep at the end of the day and drives away the depressions and negative energy.

Then once they return to the base camp, they have to undergo management games which are simply tasks that they have to perform like with scare resource they have to build a CATAPULT and place an egg in the catapult throwing it to the max distance ensuring at the same time that it doesn’t break.

This is my favorite game where the cleverness and intelligence takes a back seat and effectiveness and working smartly comes forth. WE have other such games like "the blind men pitching the tent" "The Spider WEB " etc

We also then ensure that they are taught with some eye exercise that is so essential today since everyone is glued to TV or computers.

Some bits of yoga is also taught and mind relaxing techniques are implemented.

In the last training camp I had taken along with us a rifle to allow people practice shooting at the firing range .

At the end of the day people overcome their own arrogance, false pride, Shed their false fears and can visualize their drawbacks and build great team spirit and have great fun...........In other words its self reality CHECK
